If a stay at one of the Ocean City Maryland Boardwalk hotels sounds like your idea of a great vacation then here are just some of the things you could enjoy on your trip:-
From June through to August, there will be the chance to bring a beach chair and/or a blanket and watch a family-friendly blockbuster on the beach. The movies start at 8.30pm and include the likes of Sing, Angry Birds, The Lego Batman Movie and Frozen. Showings take place on specific dates which can be found online and they are weather dependent so do check in advance if you happen to plan to attend on a rainy day.
The Life-Saving Museum
Located at the southern end of the Boardwalk, the Life-Saving Museum offers an insight into the history of Ocean City itself as well as the history of the Life-Saving Service in the US. This end of the Boardwalk can also boast one of the best views across the Inlet towards Assateague Island which is well worth checking out once you’ve spent some time exploring the Museum.
The Boardwalk is a historic part of Ocean City and a fabulous place to explore whether you want to go shopping during the day or soak up the nightlife once the sun has set. It’s also the home of the Grand Hotel Ocean City so you can simply step out of the hotel and be on the Boardwalk, ready for some fun.
Spending the Day by the Ocean
The beach at Ocean City is made up of miles and miles of sand and is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the summer weather. It is possible to swim in the ocean, enjoy some watersports and activities or simply find a peaceful spot and relax for the day. No trip to Ocean City is complete without a day spent at the beach.
Crabbing in the Bay
There are a number of excellent places to go crabbing in Ocean City including the Pier at Northside Park and the Pier behind the Convention Center. You don’t need a license to crab but there are only certain places you can go so be sure to check where these are before you begin.
