Free Family Fun in OCMD
1. Free Summer Programs
Within walking distance from the Grand Hotel, the OC Life-Saving Station Museum provides free summer programs that are available thru August 25, 2023. The museum is located at the end of the Boardwalk near the inlet. These programs begin at 10:00 am and last about 30 minutes recurring weekly every day except Sunday. Activities include learning the history of our surfmen, beach safety, knot tying, types of sharks, land formation, and aquarium feeding!
2. Sunset Park Party Nights
The Grand Hotel is several blocks from Sunset Park which hosts a free concert every Thursday night from 7:00-9:00 pm. This event is free fun for all ages! Come dance the night away as the sun sets and support local artists as they jam out on stage!
3. Sundaes in the Park & Fireworks
Spend your Sunday evening listening to live music in the picturesque Northside Park from 7:00-9:00 pm. The best thing about Sundaes in the Park is the delicious ice cream! Cold ice cream and beverages are available for purchase at this free event. We invite families to sit back and enjoy the music and fireworks during this weekly night of entertainment!
4. Fireworks Along the Boardwalk
Get a front-row seat at the Grand Hotel when fireworks launch every Monday at 9:30 pm on the boardwalk. Gather with friends and family to witness these vibrant colors illuminating the sky during this captivating show! 5. Movies on the Beach
Enjoy an unforgettable summer experience with free movies on the beach! Sit back for a movie on the big screen with waves crashing in the background. 6. OC Beach Dance Party
Join the OC Beach Dance Party that occurs every Monday from 7:30-9:30 pm. This event is free and everyone is invited to dance the evening away! Enjoy music by local DJs at Ocean City’s Caroline Street Stage on the beach by the Boardwalk. Come bust a move with your friends and family when you visit OCMD!
