Free Summer Activities
Giant Kite Show & Free Sport Kite Lessons
Every day from May 14 to October 2, 2022, the Kite Loft covers the 5th street beach sky with giant kites from 10 AM – 5:30 PM. Afterward, your kid has the opportunity for a free sports kite lesson offered from 6 – 9 PM!
Kid Crafts & Guided Gallery Tour
Need a change of pace during your stay in Ocean City? Bring your family to discover what the Art League of Ocean City has to offer. On Saturday morning at 11 AM take your little ones to the courtyard for free fun, and arts and crafts. Make sure to come back Sunday at 1 PM to explore the best artwork in OC during a free guided tour of the gallery.
Movies and games on the Beach
Why stop enjoying the sand as the sun goes down? Join us on the beach to watch a movie and play yard games. Starting at dusk a giant screen will play a family-friendly movie we know your group will love. If the kiddos won’t sit still, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! There are free yard games to play like cornhole, ladder ball, spikeball, giant connect four, and more. Weather permitting, we hope to see you there. OC Life-Saving Museum Daily Programs
At the Ocean City Life-Saving Station children have the opportunity to participate in free programs every day of the week! Give your kids the chance to read and swim with an Ocean City lifeguard or become an expert at tying nautical knots with the U.S Coast Guard. View more of the daily activities here.
Family Beach Games
Starting at 6:30 PM bring your whole family down to the sand for free games that include tug-of-war, relay races, sand castle contests, and more! Tuesdays and Thursdays are when these action-packed nights begin. Check out the schedule to find out more information about these free beach games.
Ocean City Library Program
The Worcester County Library offers free programs and activities everyone will enjoy. Kids can read with friends, learn new skills, create arts & crafts, listen to story time, and plenty more. Parents have tons of activities for them too! Join us for book clubs, trivia, knitting clubs, movie nights, and more. Sundaes in the Park
What’s better than live music? Live music with ice cream and fireworks show after! Come to Northside Park every Sunday from 7-9 PM while the sun sets and see a new band every week. There are free activities for kids and ice cream available for purchase. After the show, stick around for an explosive firework finale. Check out the local live music acts performing throughout the summer.
Party Nights in Sunset Park
Can’t get enough live music? Neither can we, at Sunset Park every Thursday from July 7 to August 25, there are live shows we know you’ll love. Bring a comfy seat, kick back, and enjoy the show. There is free parking and beverages (including beer) are available for purchase. See the music line-up.
Drone Show on the Beach
Stating at 9:30 PM Ocean City, Maryland’s nighttime sky is going to be lit up for a drone show. Head down to the beach at Dorchester street to witness this can’t-miss event on July 11, 18, 25, and August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
