October 2026 Fall Events in Ocean City
Fall in Ocean City, MD: October Events Worth the Trip
Ask a local, and they’ll tell you October is one of the best months in Ocean City. The crowds thin out, the ocean is still warm enough for a walk at the water’s edge, and the boardwalk feels like it
belongs to you again. Parking is easier, dinner reservations are easier, and the town still has plenty going on.
This month brings car shows, two of Ocean City’s longest-running festivals, a full lineup of shows at the Performing Arts Center, and plenty of Halloween fun for the kids. Here’s what’s happening in and around town for the rest of October, and how to make a weekend of it from your room at the Grand Hotel on the boardwalk at 21st Street.
October Weekend by Weekend
October 10 and 11: Harbor Day and Cruisin’ Wrap-Up
Endless Summer Cruisin’ rolls through town Oct 8 to 11, with classic cars, hot rods and customs at the Inlet lot and the Convention Center. This year marks the show’s 29th run, and Sunday is
your last chance to catch it.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, head over to the West Ocean City Commercial Harbor for Harbor Day at the Docks. It’s a laid-back, family-friendly look at the working side of Ocean City, with boats, seafood, and plenty for kids to see. Want something a little spookier after dark? The Ocean City Ghost Tour leaves from the boardwalk at the Inlet every Saturday through Oct 31.
October 16 to 18: Corvettes, Oktoberfest and a Beach Bonfire
Start the weekend with a Family Beach Bonfire on Friday, Oct 16, hosted by Ocean City Recreation and Parks. Bring a blanket and plan on s’mores.
Saturday, Oct 17 is a busy one:
- Corvette Weekend brings rows of Vettes to Jolly Roger at 30th Street, a short walk up the boardwalk from the hotel.
- Berlin Oktoberfest and Sidewalk Sale fill downtown Berlin, about 15 minutes west, with German food, local shops, and fall deals. If you’ve never been to Berlin, this is a great excuse.
- The Coastal Walk & 5K at Assateague State Park is a scenic way to start the day, and you might spot a few of the island’s wild horses.
- OC Film Festival Horror Night is a fun pick for grown-ups who like a good scare.
On Sunday, Oct. 18, The Music Man takes the stage at the Performing Arts Center.
October 19 to 25: Locals Week, Sunfest and Wine on the Beach
Living on Delmarva pays off this week. During Locals Week, the Ocean City Museum Society offers free admission for Delmarva residents at both the Ocean City Life-Saving Station
Museum at the Inlet and the Museum of Ocean City on Dorchester Street.
Then comes the big one. Sunfest runs Oct 22 to 25 at the Inlet, with four days of live music, arts and crafts vendors, and festival food. It’s been a fall tradition in Ocean City for more than 50
years. Wine on the Beach overlaps on Oct 23 and 24, also at the Inlet, so it’s easy to do both in one trip.
Prefer a show? The Performing Arts Center has a tribute night almost every evening that weekend: Elton Dan & The Rocket Band on Oct 22, a Paul McCartney tribute on Oct 23, and a
Michael Bublé tribute on Oct 24. Over at the Convention Center, the Premier Home & Artisan Expo runs Oct 23 to 25.
Families with little ones should save Sunday, Oct 25 for the Halloween Spook Out Party at Northside Park.
October 29 to 31: Halloween Weekend
Close out the month with Mrs. Doubtfire the musical at the Performing Arts Center on Oct 29, or check out the OC RV & Van Lifestyle Show at the Visitors Center the same day. The Bronco Beach Bash takes over the Convention Center on Oct 30, and the Ghost Tour makes its final Saturday run on Halloween night.

Shows and Expos at the Convention Center
The Performing Arts Center and Convention Center host something almost every weekend this fall. Staying at the Grand Hotel puts you a quick ride up Coastal Highway from the show, and you come back to an oceanfront room instead of a long drive home.

Fall weekends fill up fast around Sunfest, so lock in your dates early. When you book directly with the Grand Hotel, you’ll see every current offer in one place, including Grand Gold and Gas
& Go.
